Em cerimônia realizada neste domingo, a 77ª edição do Globo de Ouro foi marcada pela acidez do apresentador Ricky Gervais, que chegou a mencionar o Estado Islâmico, criticou empresas como a Apple e pediu para que ninguém fizesse discurso político no palanque, até ter o áudio de seu microfone cortado.
Mas focando no que interessa, a premiação deu estatuetas a alguns favoritos, como Joaquin Phoenix, como Melhor Ator em Filme Dramático, mas também surpreendeu ao anunciar ganhadores como Taron Egerton e Awkwafina.
Também foram concedidos prêmios especiais para Tom Hanks (Prêmio Cecil B. DeMille) e Ellen DeGeneres (Prêmio Carol Burnett).
